Frequently asked questions

What is SahiNumber?

SahiNumber is a numerology tool for comparing numbers before you choose one. You can check a mobile number, name or vehicle number for free and see how it suits your Mulank. For ₹199 you can see the full fit of one number, or compare up to 10 options and see them ranked for your date of birth. Every step of the maths is shown.

What is free, and what does the ₹199 report add?

Free: the total, root and compound number, what numerologists usually associate with the number, digit pairs, your Mulank and Bhagyank with the working, and the verdict against your Mulank. Every step of the maths is shown.

The ₹199 report (GST included) adds the verdict against your Bhagyank, a fit score out of 6 for each number, the ranking or joint top picks when you compare 2 or more, your Number Shopping List, a shop card and a PDF. See Pricing for an example.

Why don't the free calculators show the Bhagyank verdict?

The free check shows half of the fit: the verdict against your Mulank. The Bhagyank verdict and the fit score are in the report. We haven't hidden how they work. Every rule is on How it works, so you can work them out by hand. The report saves you that work and adds the Shopping List.

Can I get a report for just one number?

Yes. Enter one number in Compare and the report shows its full fit: both verdicts, the score out of 6 with the reasons, and your Number Shopping List. With 2 to 10 numbers it also ranks them. The price is the same, ₹199.

What is the Number Shopping List?

It is part of every ₹199 report. It lists the totals to look for when you buy a mobile or vehicle number, grouped as best, fine and skip for your date of birth. Within each group, the totals that turn up most often among numbers come first, so you are likely to find them in a dealer's list. It also shows how to add up any number in about 10 seconds. The shop card is an image of the list to show at the SIM shop, RTO or dealer. It has no date of birth, name or full number on it.

What if two numbers get the same score?

First the reverse check orders them (how the number's planet relates to yours), then the Lo Shu fill (whether the number adds numbers your grid is missing). If they are still equal, they share a rank. When first place is shared, you get joint top picks: by these rules they suit you equally, and you can choose on anything else that matters to you. The rules are on How it works.

Can numerology predict what will happen to me?

No. Numerology is a traditional system of meanings given to numbers. It is not science, and no number can make anything happen. We never predict events. Use SahiNumber to think through a choice, or just out of curiosity. The final choice is always yours.

Which numerology system do you use?

Chaldean letter values for names, Vedic Mulank and Bhagyank from your date of birth, and compatibility from the classical planetary friendships of jyotish. The full rule set, with worked examples, is on How it works.

Why Chaldean and not Pythagorean?

Chaldean is the system most Indian numerologists and buyers expect. We still show the Pythagorean result next to it, so you can compare the two. Scores and rankings use Chaldean.

What do favourable, neutral and challenging mean?

They describe how the planet of a number relates to the planet of your Mulank or Bhagyank in classical jyotish. Favourable means the two are traditionally friendly, neutral means neither friendly nor unfriendly, and challenging means the relationship is traditionally difficult. They are descriptions, not predictions.

Why don't you call numbers lucky or unlucky?

Because a number can't be fortunate or unfortunate in itself. It can only suit your date of birth more or less well, according to a particular set of rules. We say favourable, neutral or challenging, and always tell you why.

One of my numbers is challenging. Should I change it?

There is no need to change a number you already have. SahiNumber is meant for the moment you are choosing between options, such as a new SIM or a new number plate. If you are choosing, compare the options and pick the one that works for you in every way, including price and convenience.

Do you consider 4 and 8 to be numbers to avoid?

No. Some sites tell everyone to avoid 4 and 8. We don't use that rule. 4 and 8 are scored like any other number, through the friendship table.

What about pairs like 36 or 42 in my mobile number?

We show the commonly discussed meaning of each digit pair, labelled clearly, because interpretations vary between numerologists. Pairs are for information only and don't change any score or ranking.

Do you store my date of birth or numbers?

No. We don't store your date of birth or numbers. Your report lives on your phone. Free checks run in your browser and your inputs are not sent to us. For a paid comparison, the ranking is worked out on our server and your inputs are discarded straight after. We keep only what we need for accounts and refunds: the order ID, the payment ID and a coded fingerprint of your inputs, made with a secret key, which we use only to check a recovery request. The Privacy Policy explains this in full.

Why don't you ask for my email or phone number?

Because we don't need them. Your report opens on screen, you can save it as a PDF or image, and it is kept on your device. Nothing needs to be sent to you.

How do I keep my report?

Right after payment you can download the PDF or image, share it to yourself with your phone's share button, and save the recovery card. The report is also listed under "My reports" on the device you used. The QR code on the report opens it on another device.

I lost my report. Can I get it back?

Yes. Go to Recover my report. Enter the same date of birth and numbers you used, and the payment ID (it starts with pay_ and is on your success screen, your recovery card and your Razorpay receipt). We will give you a fresh link. We can't look up your report any other way, because we don't keep a copy of it.

Does my report link expire?

No. As long as you have the link or your recovery card, you can open your report.

Who can see my report?

Anyone who has the full report link. Treat it like a private link and share it only with people you trust.

How do I pay?

By UPI, through Razorpay. The price is ₹199, GST included.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. Use the "Request refund" button on your report within 7 days. Choose a reason from the list; there is nothing to type. We process refunds within 48 hours, back to the method you paid with. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Do you sell gemstones, remedies or consultations?

No. We don't sell remedies, gemstones, yantras, pujas, bracelets, consultations or courses, and we never recommend them.

Is a person checking my report?

No. Reports are put together from short passages we have written and reviewed in advance, chosen by the calculation. No AI writes your report, and we don't claim an expert has checked it. Every step is shown, so you can check it yourself.

Which languages can I use?

Hindi and English. We plan to add more Indian languages, written natively for each one.

Who can buy a report?

You need to be 18 or older to buy. Free checks are open to everyone.
